Getting Started

How do I submit a referral? Email us at stephanie.mah@activedemand.com with your contact's name, company, and a quick note on why you think they'd be a great fit. Alternatively, reach out to your Strategic Account Manager, they can log it on your behalf. We'll confirm receipt and keep you updated as things move forward.

Who qualifies as a referral? We're looking for senior living operators who aren't already an ActiveDEMAND customer. They should be a genuine fit for the platform, your instinct about who could benefit goes a long way here.

Can I refer more than one person? Absolutely, there's no limit to how many referrals you can submit. Each one that closes as a new annual contract earns you a separate reward. Refer 3 or more deals that close in the same quarter and you'll also unlock the Quarterly Momentum Bonus of an extra $1,500.

Do I need to be an active customer to participate? Yes. You must be an active ActiveDEMAND customer in good standing to earn referral rewards. If you have any questions about your account status, reach out to your Strategic Account Manager.


Rewards & Payment

How much do I earn, and how does payment work? When a deal you referred closes as a new annual contract, you earn a one-time cash reward equal to one month of their contract value. For example, a $12,000/year contract = $1,000 for you. Payment is made within 90 days of your referral's first payment via mailed cheque.

Is there a reward just for making an introduction — even if it doesn't close? Yes! When you refer someone who meets our qualification criteria and agrees to a discovery call, you'll receive a $50 gift card as a thank-you, regardless of whether the deal closes. Quality introductions drive momentum, and we appreciate every one.

What counts as the contract value for calculating my reward? Your reward is based on the base monthly recurring contract value, not setup fees, one-time charges, or add-ons. So if a client signs at $1,200/month, your reward would be $1,200.

Are month-to-month contracts eligible? No. Rewards apply to closed annual contracts only. If a referred prospect initially signs month-to-month and later converts to annual, reach out to your SAM to discuss eligibility.


Timing & Eligibility

What if my contact isn't ready to buy right now? No problem, timing varies. As long as the deal closes within 180 days of your original submission, you'll still receive your reward. We recommend making the introduction early so there's plenty of runway. If you're unsure whether a previous submission is still active, check in with your Account Manager.

What if the person I'm referring is already in your pipeline as a known lead? If a prospect is already in our CRM as an active lead before you submit your referral, the reward may not apply. However, if your introduction meaningfully re-engaged a dormant contact or helped accelerate a stalled deal, we'll review it case by case and aim to do right by you. When in doubt, reach out before submitting and we'll check.

What if two clients refer the same person? In the rare case of a duplicate referral, we'll review the timing and context of both submissions and work out a fair split between the two referring customers. We'll communicate transparently with everyone involved.

Is there a minimum contract size required to qualify? There's no hard minimum. The reward simply scales with the contract size. If you're unsure whether a prospect would qualify, ask your SAM before submitting.


Recognition & Extras

What is the Quarterly Momentum Bonus? Refer 3 or more deals that close in the same calendar quarter and earn an extra $1,500 on top of your standard per-deal rewards. There's no cap, the more deals that close in a quarter, the more you earn.

What is the Client Spotlight feature? Top referrers get the opportunity to be featured in our Client Spotlight Series, co-branded content, a feature on our website, and an invitation to share your story with our broader community. It's our way of celebrating operators who are doing great things with ActiveDEMAND and paying it forward.
